Low and Mid Energy Linear Accelerators
For classification purposes we have defined Mid energy systems as units incorporating Magnetron microwave generators. Low energy units are typically configured with a single photon energy of 6 MV (occasionally 4 MV).

Mid energy units have dual photon energy capability with a higher energy between 10 MV and 15 MV, but at a lower dose rate than the Klystron driven High Energy models.

Choosing a low or mid energy linear accelerator of any brand invariably means deciding whether you require Electron energy delivery. Siemens brand is unique in offering low energy (6 MV) linear accelerators with electron capability, for treating surface or shallow lesions.
