Many owners of Varian Clinac 4, Clinac
6 and Clinac 1800 units have received "end-of-life" notices
from the manufacturer stating that by 2006 Varian will no longer
offer parts or service support on these units. Siemens have
made similar statements regarding their own Analog controlled
units such as the 6740, 7740 etc. However, do not despair if
you rely on one of these workhorses in your clinic. OSI have

provider for Siemens analog linear accelerators next year, and

keep these units going for years to come if necessary. Furthermore,
